Scarify: Pour Hot water over seed. Soak in water for 24 hours.

We're thrilled to offer this fun plant for cooks who love new adventures and who savor capers, those pickled green delicacies used in French, Mediterranean and Indian dishes. Capers are the unopened flower buds of the Capparis spinosa bush which are customarily harvested and brined before the blossoms pop open. The pickling is a snap (just vinegar, salt and water - here's a recipe). Should you decide to let the plants flower, the blossoms are pretty, a bit like single form roses, and edible fruit, known as caperberries, will develop. Caper shrubs are unusual and attractive ornamentals that flower their second or third year and live for decades, steadily producing more buds and berries. These plants thrive in hot, dry environments and prefer full sun. Extremely drought tolerant, and developed blooms are highly attractive to butterflies. Salt tolerant, and deer resistant too.
Henna Tree Seeds for Planting (30 Seeds) - Lawsonia Inermis - Egyptian Privet Tree
$9.96
Unit price perHenna Tree Seeds for Planting (30 Seeds) - Lawsonia Inermis - Egyptian Privet Tree
$9.96
Unit price perHenna is a natural dye made from the leaves of the Lawsonia Inermis plant with its recorded use dating back to the ancient Egyptians. Henna dye is primarily used to color hair, skin and fabrics. Henna is widespread in many cultures as a means of temporary tattooing. It is often featured in highly ornate body art patterns. The dye is activated when lawsone molecules are released from the crushed leaves, and so henna is commonly sold as powdered leaf, which is then mixed with mildly acidic liquid when it is prepared for use. The dye originally stains the skin orange, darkening to a reddish brown over the course of three days. The dye will ultimately fade once the dyed skin cells are shed. Henna booths are popular at public events such as fairs and festivals, particularly those with a hippy or Bohemian influence. Henna is also popular in Indian and various Muslim cultures. Henna can be seen as a beard dye, and its use is associated in various ways with marriage rituals. Henna is a fragrant flowering shrub that is suited for outdoor growth in zones 9b to 11. Elsewhere it can be grown indoors wherever bright light and warm temperatures can be provided. Henna is also known as Hina, Mignonetee Tree and Egyptian Privet.

Instructions how to grow these seeds :
?If growing foxglove from seeds, germination is greatly increased by a 7-day cold treatment. Place seeds and slightly damp paper towels in a bag and store in the refrigerator. Then planting material is placed in a gauze bag and left in a solution of potassium permanganate bright pink for 20 minutes.?
?Before planting foxglove seeds, get the garden ready by turning over the soil and adding compost.
?Add a 2- to 4-inch (5-10 cm) deep layer of compost over the soil and dig it into the top 12 to 15 inches (30-40 cm) of the garden bed, mixing and blending it thoroughly.
?Foxglove seeds need light to germinate. The best way to plant foxglove seeds is by surface sowing them. Aim for a spacing of about 1 inch (2 cm) between seeds. You can thin them once they emerge to a spacing of 12 to 24 inches between plants to prevent overcrowding. ?Foxglove seeds take 20 to 30 days to germinate. Foxglove seeds germinate in bright, indirect light at 60 to 65 F (15-20°C).
Good harvest!
